A MEMORIAL WATCH: HOW DOES IT WORK IN PRACTICE?
For each Memoria watch, you have the choice of three different backings: a solid lid, a lid with a window (made of scratch-resistant sapphire glass), or a lid with a fingerprint jewel. All lids seal the urn space 100% waterproof.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE URN COMPARTMENT

Opening:
Opening and closing the urn space is done with the special Memoria key. Opening and closing the urn compartment is done with the special Memoria key.
(In case of loss, a new key can be requested).
Turn the key counterclockwise (to the left). Once you feel the lid loosen, you can finish unscrewing it with your fingers.
Filling:
Remove the small cushion that is already in the urn compartment. Then, using a teaspoon, fill half of the urn compartment with ashes and place the small cushion back on top. You can also place a lock of hair, a photo, or a small document in the hollow space.
Make sure no ashes, hair, or dust get into the screw thread of the lid.
Closing:
Turn the lid clockwise (to the right). First, use your fingers to ensure the lid is properly aligned with the urn compartment and hand-tighten it. Then, place one prong of the Memoria key into one of the six holes and the second prong into the opposite hole. Tighten the lid with the key. It should feel secure but does not need to be extremely tight.
The lid that seals the urn compartment is screwed and has a sealing ring, making the urn compartment 100% waterproof.
SOLID LID
There is space in the urn area for ashes, a lock of hair, a piece of fabric, or another cherished item.
Ashes: sprinkle a small amount of ashes with a small spoon on the bottom of the ash space until the Memoria logo is covered.
With the purchase of your watch, there is a small round foam pad in each urn space. You can (optionally) use this to press down on the ashes or another cherished item when closing.
Before closing the urn space, avoid getting ashes, hair, or dust between the edge of the lid and the watch.
The lids seal the urn space 100% waterproof when properly closed.

B. Photo, fingerprint, drawing, handwriting, …
If you wish an engraving of a photo, fingerprint, handwriting, you can upload this file during the ordering process of your watch.
Our shop accepts almost all types of files: jpg, png, tif, heic, bmp, pdf, webp, …
An engraved image is a black and white laser engraving (image consists of small pixels/dots).
Before we engrave, we will first email the layout of your text to you for approval.
C. You can also choose both: a photo or fingerprint and have your text engraved around it.
LID WITH WINDOW
This backing has a small window (Ø12mm), the window is made of sapphire glass. Sapphire glass is hard and scratch-resistant.
You have 2 options with this backing:
A. You can simply choose the window cover because you want to see the contents of the urn space.
B. You want to see a photo, drawing, handwriting directly behind the window. The image (color or black and white) you upload will be printed to the correct size, laminated, and placed behind the window.

LID WITH FINGERPRINT JEWEL
You can also choose a beautiful relief fingerprint in 100% rhodium-plated silver or 14k gold.
During the ordering process of your watch, you can upload the fingerprint file. The fingerprint just needs to be a (flat) digital image.
